PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To configure an oil separator capable of suppressing the phenomenon that oil separated by an oil separation unit is mixed into blow-by gas.SOLUTION: An oil separator comprises: a cyclone oil separation unit B separating oil mist contained in blow-by gas; and a reverse-flow suppression unit C suppressing a flow of air in an opposite direction to a discharge direction of oil while permitting the oil to flow downward in a region continuous to a discharge opening 7 provided in a lower portion of the oil separation unit B and having the smallest diameter from downward. The reverse-flow suppression unit C includes a nonlinear communication passage 16 formed in a region from an upper end to a lower end of a constituent member 15 in a fixed state. |
