OSCILLATION FOIL PROPULSION SYSTEM FOR CONTROLLING MOTION OF OSCILLATING MOVABLE FOIL AND METHOD THEREOF

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oscillation foil propulsion system which can adjust an attack angle depending on a flow direction and speed of topical fluid approaching in a range where a foil operates in an oscillating movable foil of a marine propulsion system and a method for controlling the oscillation foil propulsion system.SOLUTION: An oscillation foil propulsion system includes a movable foil 2, a pitch mechanism 5 which is connected to the movable foil 2 and controls a pitch motion of the foil 2, and a heave mechanism 6 which is connected to the movable foil 2 and which controls a heave motion of the foil 2. At least one of the pitch mechanism 5 and the heave mechanism 6 adjusts an amplitude of each of the motions of the movable foil 2.
