PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a communication terminal to achieve both transmission of necessary position information and restraint of power consumption.SOLUTION: A communication terminal obtains terminal position information including a current position and altitude of the communication terminal in transmission setting processing. On the basis of the obtained terminal position information, the communication terminal determines whether or not the current position and altitude where the communication terminal is situated is a highly dangerous place where an accident likelihood representing a probability of occurrence of an accident involving a vehicle is equal to or more than a designated threshold value (S120-S140). As a result of this determination, if the place where the communication terminal is situated is the highly dangerous place, the communication terminal turns on a first transmission setting so as to regularly transmit specific information including the current position (S160), or if the place where the communication terminal is situated is not the highly dangerous place, the communication terminal turns off the first transmission setting so as to stop regularly transmitting the specific information (S170). |
