PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent beading and suppress reduction of image uniformity during recording on recording media having low permeability.SOLUTION: There is provided an ink containing water, a pigment, resin particles, a water soluble organic solvent, a first surfactant represented by the following formula (1) and having Mw 5,000 or more and less than 80,000, and second surfactant of polyoxyethylene alkyl ether having a HLB value of 15 or more. In the formula (1), Rand Rrepresent H or a Calkyl group, Rand Rrepresent a Calkylene group, p represents an integer of 1 to 500, a and b represent an integer of 1 to 300, c and d represent an integer of 0 to 200, however at least one of Rand Ris a propyl group or at least one of Rand Ris 1,3-propylene group when c and d are 0 at same time. |
