PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a machine tool capable of preventing chips or the like from being attached to a sliding surface of an upper surface of a base and a sliding surface of a lower surface of a turn table.SOLUTION: A machine tool 10 includes: a base 20 formed in a long size shape having corner parts on four way; a turn table 30 which is formed in a long size shape and is turned while sliding along an upper surface of the base 20; and turn covers 61 to 64 which are supported on the stand 20 or the turn table 30 so as to permit turning, cover a corner part upper surface of the base 20 while being protruded from the margin in the width direction of the turn table 30 in such a first state that the turn table 30 does not exist on the corner part upper surface of the base 20 and are housed on the lower side of the turn table 30 in such a second state that the turn table 30 exists on the corner part upper surface of the base 20. |
