PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To securely fill backlash between male and female housings.SOLUTION: A connector comprises: a male housing having a hood part open in a frontward direction, and accommodated with a male terminal projecting within the hood part; and a female housing 40 including a terminal accommodating part that has a cavity in which a female terminal is accommodated and can be fitted in the hood part, and also including a front wall member 70 attached to the front face of the terminal accommodating part and provided so as to allow the terminal insertion hole 55 of the male terminal to communicate with the cavity 50. While a fitting projection 20 extending in the frontward and backward directions is formed on the inner periphery of the hood part, a fitting groove 60 into which the fitting projection 20 can be inserted from front is formed on the outer periphery of the terminal accommodating part. On the inner periphery of the groove 60, a backlash filling rib is formed in the frontward and backward directions, which is collapsed between the outer periphery of the fitting projection 20 and itself. In a front-wall member 70, an escape groove 80 is formed, which allows the fitting projection 20 to be inserted into the groove 60 so as to have clearance. |
