摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique related to an electric vehicle incorporated with an auxiliary motor enabling a two-wheel drive vehicle to be a temporary four-wheel drive, the technique for suppressing a temperature rise in an inverter for the auxiliary motor without limiting the torque of the auxiliary motor necessary to eliminate a generated slip as much as possible.SOLUTION: An electric vehicle allows selection of two-wheel drive and four-wheel drive, and includes an inverter for supplying power to a main motor for driving a front wheel and to a sub-motor for driving a rear wheel. A controller of the electric vehicle performs: determining a first requirement output to be output from a sub-motor while no slip has occurred and a second requirement output to be output from the sub-motor when occurrence of a slip is detected, and supplying the determined outputs to the inverter; and decreasing an upper limit value of the first requirement output in the case of a temperature of the inverter being higher than a first threshold temperature T1 and decreasing an upper limit value of the second requirement output in the case of a temperature of the inverter being higher than a second threshold temperature T2 (where T2>T1).
