PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging device and method capable of suppressing a recording capacity by achieving high image quality development from a RAW image while securing an image that is easy to be reproduced by performing simple development with a small processing amount at photographing in an imaging device using a division pixel sensor.SOLUTION: Image information of a RAW image is generated by imaging a subject image, and simple development is performed on the RAW image at photographing, and then recording is performed. The RAW image is also recorded. In a case where a pixel division imaging element is used, addition RAW image information obtained by mutually adding image information obtained for each division region of the imaging element, and difference RAW image information obtained by mutually subtracting the image information, are recorded. Further, for displaying the image during a photographing operation, the image information subjected to simple development processing is displayed. For displaying the image after the photographing operation is finished, image information subjected to development processing with a high image quality later is displayed. |
