The present invention relates to a composition comprising a fermented solution of Poncirus trifoliate and starch syrup for preventing or treating inflammatory diseases or allergic diseases. The fermented solution of Poncirus trifoliate and starch syrup of the present invention can be usefully used for preventing or treating inflammatory diseases or allergic diseases, with excellent effects in alleviating inflammation and allergy by reducing expression of cytokine in inflammatory cells and inhibiting NF-κB activation.
