PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus which hardly causes a defect caused by the fluctuations of an interval between a toner carrier and an image carrier.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus 1 includes a photoreceptor drum 121 and a developing device 122. The developing device 122 includes a developing roller 83. The developing roller 83 supplies toner to the photoreceptor drum 121. The developing roller 83 includes a sleeve 830 and a coat layer 83C. The photoreceptor drum 121 includes a drum element tube 120 and a functional layer 120C. The coat layer 83C of the developing roller 83 and the functional layer 120C of the photoreceptor drum 121 are formed by an immersion method. The photoreceptor drum 121 and the developing device 122 are arranged so that the lower end side of the developing roller 83 during immersion faces the upper end side of the photoreceptor drum 121 during immersion. |
