PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow a simple configuration to retain a magnet to a rotator without deviation in an axial direction and radial direction.SOLUTION: A rotation angle detection device comprises: a magnet 46 that is provided in a main gear 41; and a magnet detector that is arranged to face the magnet 46, in which the magnet 46 rotates integrally with the main gear 41, and a change in a magnetic field of the magnet 46 is detected by the magnet detector to thereby detect a rotation angle of the main gear 41. The main gear 41 includes a bottomed concavity part 41a, and a plurality of attachment pins 41c around the concavity part, and the magnet 46 is inserted into the concavity part 41a so that one part protrudes from an upper end of the concavity part 41a. The magnet 46 inserted into the concavity part 41a is pressed against the main gear 41 by an elastically deformable pressing plate 47 made up of a non-magnetic member. A plurality of attachment holes 47d is formed in an outward part 47b of the pressing plate 47. As the magnet 46 inserted into the concavity part 41a is being pressed against the elastically deformed pressing plate 47 by the main gear 41, each attachment pin 41c inserted into each attachment hole 47d is heatedly caulked, and thereby the magnet 46 is fixed to the main gear 41. |
