PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive scroll compressor in which a release valve can be freely arranged, and in which retainer specification does not increase.SOLUTION: A scroll compressor includes: a sealed container for accommodating a fixed scroll and a revolving scroll; a working fluid passage for connecting an inlet of the fixed scroll and an outlet of the fixed scroll; a compression chamber formed in the working fluid passage by the fixed scroll and the revolving scroll being engaged; and a plurality of release valve devices arranged in the fixed scroll, the plurality of release valve devices opening the passage for communicating the working fluid passage and a discharge pressure chamber when a pressure of the working fluid passage is increased higher than a setting pressure. The release valve device includes: a release flow passage for communicating the compression chamber and the discharge pressure chamber; a release valve for opening/closing the release flow passage; and a valve pressing body arranged above the release valve and imparting an elastic pressing force to the release valve. A retainer for restricting a movement range of the valve pressing body has a plurality of gas passages, and the number is larger than the number of the release valve devices. |
