PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cleaning device capable of suppressing the drop of toner from the periphery of the cleaning device, while suppressing the shaving of a photoreceptor drum and to provide an image forming apparatus including the cleaning device.SOLUTION: A cleaning device 1 cleaning the surface of a photoreceptor drum 11 on which a toner image obtained by developing a latent image formed through electrification with the toner is formed includes a cleaning member 6 which removes residual toner from the surface of the photoreceptor drum 11, and a side seal member 5 which comes into contact with the surface of the photoreceptor drum 11 and stores the residual toner removed by the cleaning member 6. The edge part 53 of the side seal member 5 includes a taper part 54 inclined so as to get closer to the end in the rotation axis direction of the photoreceptor drum 11 as it goes to the downstream side from the upstream side of the contact position of the photoreceptor drum 11 with the cleaning member 6, when viewed in the rotational direction of the photoreceptor drum 11. |
