According to the present invention, a separation device using a shape memory alloy wire comprises: a shape memory alloy wire (170) to be contracted by power supply; and a plurality of steel balls (140) containing four steel balls positioned between a rotationer (120) receiving a rotational force using spring force, and a separation pin (150) inserted in the rotationer to receive a preload of the pin (150), and one steel ball positioned in a cylinder key (122) of the rotationer (120) to be released when the shape memory alloy wire (170) is contracted. As such, a restriction and release mechanism of the steel balls interlocked with the separation pin (150) is applied as one wire using the shape memory alloy (170). Moreover, the present invention reduces power required to drive the device and reduces an impact generated during separation in high vibrational environments; is easily reused by a simple structure and a simple operation after driving; and improves reliability of a separation function.
