PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a device for removing deposit in a water tube boiler capable of efficiently realizing peeling of the deposit bonded to the water tube to be cleaned by a less-expensive and simple configuration even if an inside segment of the water tube boiler is complicated and narrow.SOLUTION: This invention relates to a method for removing deposit in a water tube boiler to clean an outer surface of the water tube by injecting a compressed cleaning substance into the water tube boiler. This invention has a configuration comprising a cleaning machine main body for mixing dry ice with compressed air and a nozzle segment for spraying the cleaning substance of mixture gas of dry ice and compressed air manufactured by the cleaning machine main body on the outer surface of the water tube with an extended pipe and the injection nozzle so as to peel off the deposit bonded to the outer surface of the water tube.
