A poly dome structure for a backlight of a key button is disclosed. The poly dome structure comprises: a first double-sided tape which is attached to an area except for a key button carbon contact on a printed circuit board (PCB); an air-vent sheet which is attached onto the first double-sided tape and forms a space for air flow between keys; a second double-sided tape which is attached onto the air-vent sheet; a dome sheet which is attached onto the double-sided tape and is formed in a dome shape at a key stroke space on the key button PCB carbon contact; and a side light emitting diode (LED) which irradiates light from a side of the dome sheet, wherein the dome sheet is formed by printing a lighting dot pattern on the front face thereof, and a dome sheet carbon contact is formed at a portion opposed to the key button PCB carbon contact. According to the configuration, the lighting dot pattern is printed and formed to guide side light to the dome sheet to pass between key buttons, and thus it is possible to simply perform direct-light scattering of the side light even without a complicated structure such as a light guide film (LGF) or a diffusion plate. Accordingly, the manufacturing process is simplified, and manufacturing costs are reduced. |
