The present invention relates to a method for calculating a food calorie index, a system for calculating food calories, and a method for providing health information of a consumer by using the calculation of the food calorie index. According to an aspect of the present invention, the method for calculating a food calorie index and the method for providing health information by using the food calorie index can be used as an energy nutrition labeling tool of a food in consideration of a blood sugar load, thereby providing help for easily and quickly identifying and selecting a food helpful for blood sugar and weight control or health care.
