Disclosed are a system and method to transmit data in an overlay network. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the system comprises: a first node to establish a first session with a transmission terminal in accordance to a request of the transmission terminal; and a second node to receive a first destination information corresponding to the first session from the first node, requesting establishment of a second session to a reception terminal, and transmitting a second destination information corresponding to the second session to the first node. The second node associates the received first destination information with the second session to be stored in a temporary mapping table, and transmits the received packet to the reception terminal with reference to a temporary mapping table when a packet, where the second destination information is not described, is received from the first node. |
