PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water resistant (waterproof) slide fastener which provides excellent water resistance to passage of water.SOLUTION: A water resistant slide fastener 10 includes: a pair of stringer tapes 14, 16 each having first and second opposed surfaces 18, 20 and each having a series of gripper elements 22 positioned along edges of the first surfaces 18; and a water resistant layer 26 on the second surfaces 20, where the water resistant layer 26 has an adhesion to the stringer tapes 14, 16 of at least about 6 lb/in. |
