摘要 A magnetic brake capable of stopping smoothly the rotating body and as well as minimizing a braking impact applied to the rotating body through gradually increasing a frictional force generated between a disk portion and a pad portion is disclosed. The magnetic brake is usefully applied to a joint portion of a robot arm for surgery which requires precise controlling since it minimizes a braking impact applied to a rotating body and it is possible to stop smoothly the rotating body with a very simple and compact structure. Also, a magnetic brake is manufactured in a simple and compact structure, therefore a restriction of installing space is minimized, and there is an effect that various devices in which the magnetic brake is applied to be smaller and lighter.
