An electronic cigarette and an air intake volume regulating method therefor. The electronic cigarette comprises an electronic cigarette body provided at one extremity with a mouthpiece component (1). The electronic cigarette body also comprises an atomizing component (2), a battery component (3), a mounting frame (4), and an outer housing (5) sleeved on the exterior of the mounting frame. A first air inlet channel (501) for inflow of gases from the external is provided on the outer housing (5). A groove (402) in communication with the first air inlet channel (501) is provided on a surface mounting frame (4) affixed with the outer housing (5). A second air inlet channel (401) used for communicating with the first air inlet channel (501) is provided at the bottom of the groove (402). A regulating element (6) used for regulating air intake volume of the electronic cigarette is movably mounted in the groove (402). The regulating element (6) slides along the groove (402) to regulate an air-flowing area at where the first air inlet channel (501) is connected to the second air inlet channel (401). A positioning element (7) used for limiting the air-flowing area of different knob positions and movably connected to the regulating element (6) is provided on the mounting frame (4). The electronic cigarette of said structure has the advantages of adjustable air intake volume, being convenient to carry, and preventing the regulating element from being erroneously touched and thereby altering airflow volume. |
