A braking indicator for a railway vehicle according to the present invention comprises: a main body having a supply unit to which an air pressure is supplied by the braking of a railway vehicle and a see-through window disposed on a front surface thereof; a cylinder installed in the main body, whose entrance is connected to the supply unit; a piston installed in the cylinder to move by the air pressure supplied through the supply unit and return by an elastic force, and provided with a pressing unit; a display plate which is fixed to the piston, and allows a user to check whether the railway vehicle brakes according to a position of the piston through the see-through window; and a ball-type limit switch which is installed in the main body, is disposed on a moving path of the pressing unit reciprocating with the piston, returns a first ball and a second ball pressed when the piston returns by the elastic force and moves by the air pressure by rotation and the elastic force, and outputs an electric signal with a press of the first and the second ball. According to the present invention, a switch used to detect the position of the piston uses the ball-type limit switch which reduces friction between the piston and the switch to improve reliability of switching operation and durability by damage prevention. The cylinder, the piston, and the ball-type limit switch can be easily assembled. Expenses and time for maintenance and repair can be reduced. Manufacturing costs can be reduced by simplifying the structure. |
