PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a storage type water heater that can improve the degree of freedom of arrangement of components while reliably restraining damage to a vacuum heat insulating material that covers a hot water storage tank.SOLUTION: A storage type water heater according to the present invention comprises: a hot water storage tank 1; a vacuum heat insulating material 20 that covers the hot water storage tank 1; a molded heat insulating material (an outside body part molded heat insulating material 17) that covers the hot water storage tank 1 from the outside of the vacuum heat insulating material 20; and protective parts (a first protective part 50, a second protective part 60, and a third protective part 70) attached to parts (a first opening part 17a, a second opening part 17c, a third opening part 17f) in which the molded heat insulating material does not cover the vacuum heat insulating material, and including a material different from the molded heat insulating material. |
