PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve a high degree of constant volume combustion which is advantageous for fuel economy regarding an engine.SOLUTION: In an engine, a piton 12 reciprocating in a cylinder 11 is rotatably journaled to one end of a connecting rod 13, and the other end of the connecting rod 13 is connected to a planetary mechanism 20. The planetary mechanism 20 includes: an annular internal gear 21; a planetary gear 22 meshed with the internal gear 21 and rotating while revolving around an axis of the internal gear 21; an output sun gear 24 concentrically provided with the internal gear 21 and meshed with the planetary gear 22; and a crank pin 18 provided on a side surface of the planetary gear 22 so as to rotatably support the other end of the connecting rod 13. In the planetary mechanism 20, the crank pin 18 is offset relative to an axis of the planetary gear 22. |
