PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable an enhancement in water-tightness and air-tightness of a junction along with an enhancement in junction strength when a pair of metal members are jointed without using tab materials.SOLUTION: The junction method, which includes a butt step, a welding step for welding flanks on both sides of a butt part J1, a first final junction step for frictional agitation from the front face, and a second final junction step for frictional agitation from the rear face, is characterized in that the first final junction step enables frictional agitation with a final junction rotary tool G and then removal of the final junction rotary tool G at a position away from the butt part J1 to reverse metal members 1A, 1B in addition to the removal of burrs generated by the frictional agitation, and in that the second final junction step enables frictional agitation with the final junction rotary tool G to perform frictional agitation while an agitation pin G2 of the final junction rotary tool G is being penetrated into a plasticized region W3 formed in the first final junction step, and then removal of the final junction rotary tool G at a position away from the butt part J1. |
