PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coating method capable of stabilizing a thickness of an electrode paste when the electrode paste is coated on a base material.SOLUTION: A coating method includes a coating process of coating an electrode paste P on a metal foil 6. The coating process includes: a major coating process of coating the electrode paste P supplied on a coating roll 3 onto the metal foil 6; and a major coating preparation process of adjusting conditions during coating of the electrode paste P onto the metal foil 6 prior to execution of the major coating process. In the major coating preparation process, the coating roll 3 is rotated, and the rotation of the coating roll 3 is continued until starting the major coating process. |
