PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sub-base material including glass foam which facilitates construction and reduces the time for construction by suppressing the long-term strength of a sub-base material and is improved in alkali resistance and durability and its production method.SOLUTION: A sub-base material comprises aggregate containing at least glass foam with the compression strength set within a specified range and a binding material for binding the aggregate together, and the foam is coated with a resin.
