PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic paper feeder that is able to feed paper with stable conveyance performance and reduce noise due to vibration, by causing paper powder and dust, sticking to a recording surface, to fall before feeding paper and by preventing the entire device from being directly vibrated.SOLUTION: A vibrator 22 that vibrates a vibrating plate 21 is arranged such that the vibrator further projects than a paper placement surface in a descent position of a placement plate 11. Placed paper securely receives vibration from the vibrating plate 21 and causes foreign matters and paper powder on a recording surface to fall. Additionally, the vibrating plate 21 and the placement plate 11 are disposed so as not to be in contact with each other, thereby reducing displacement of side guides 18, 19, which restrict the width of paper. Accordingly, conveyance performance can be ensured and, at the same time, noise due to vibration can be reduced. |
