Display drive units (13L, 13R) drive a display unit (20) so that a first picture based on first picture data (D1) is displayed in a first display area (20L) and a second picture based on second picture data (D2) is displayed in a second display area (20R) of the display unit (20). A first luminance sensor (14L) detects the brightness of the picture in the first display area (20L), and a second luminance sensor (14R) detects the brightness of the picture in the second display area (20R). A first luminance adjustment unit adjusts the luminance of the first picture so that the brightness of the picture in the first display area (20L) detected by the first luminance sensor (14L) equals a first sensor luminance value. A second luminance adjustment unit adjusts the luminance of the second picture so that the brightness of the picture in the second display area (20R) detected by the second luminance sensor (14R) equals a second sensor luminance value. |
