[Class 18.] In a box for loose powder of the type comprising a perforated disc superposed on the powder and a propeller which, when turned in either direction, presses powder through the perforations in the disc, the blades of the propeller are substantially #-shaped in a cross section at right-angles to the radius of the blade. A powder box comprises a body part 1 with a powder-holding tray 6, for. example of aluminium, which contains a propeller 8 and is covered by a perforated disc 7 with an upturned margin. The propeller has a #-shaped cross section with flattened edges, Fig. 5, and revolves on a stud 9, being operable by a disc 10 with finger holes located in a recess formed underneath the box. A lid 4 containing a mirror is hinged to the box, and a puff is placed on the disc 7 so that it engages tightly the inner margin of the disc. |
