Provided are an image provision method, server device, and terminal device for searching images according to colors, such that users can obtain images of a desired color and buyers can accurately obtain products of a desired color in the e-commerce field. The method comprises: a server receives analysis data, transmitted by a terminal device, of the major color components of an image to be searched, compares the analysis data of the major color components of the image to be searched with the analysis data of the major color components of multiple images in an image database, and transmits to the terminal device the identifiers of the multiple images in the image database that have the maximum similarity with the major color tones of the image to be searched so that the terminal device can obtain images according to the identifiers.
