PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact optical system that satisfactorily corrects aberrations and has excellent optical performance, an optical device, and a method for manufacturing the optical system.SOLUTION: An optical system comprises, in order from an object side, a first lens group G1 having positive refractive power, a second lens group G2 having negative refractive power, and a third lens group G3 having positive refractive power. The first lens group G1 includes, in order from the object side, a first a lens group G1a and a first b lens group G1b. An air interval between the first a lens group G1a and the first b lens group G1b is the largest of air intervals in the first lens group G1. A predetermined conditional expression is satisfied. |
