PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an appearance inspection device capable of omitting an illumination or making a configuration of the illumination simple.SOLUTION: A wire harness appearance inspection device 1 includes: a set surface 10a; an imaging section 20; and an appearance success/failure determination section 41 for determining whether various mounting members C and P are mounted at predetermined mounting positions, from image information of a wire harness WH captured by the imaging section 20. Image information D includes image information of the set surface 10a. The appearance success/failure determination section 41 acquires a lightness value or an average lightness value of the set surface 10a from the image information D, acquires a lightness value or an average lightness value from mounting area image information D1, D2, D3 and D4 of the various mounting members C and P in the image information D and, on the basis of a magnitude of a difference between the lightness value or the average lightness value of the set surface 10a and the lightness value or the average lightness value of the mounting area image information, determines whether the mounting members C and P in achromatic colors are mounted at the predetermined mounting positions. |
