PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic transmission capable of avoiding an increase in axial dimensions and radial dimensions.SOLUTION: First to third clutches 31 to 33 are disposed on one end portion of a transmission 1 from an outer circumference side to an inner circumference side in this order to radially overlap one another. A common rotational member 5 supporting pistons 31p to 33p of the first to third clutches 31 to 33 is disposed closer to one axial end than the first to third clutches 31 to 33, and supported by a sidewall 2e on one axial end of a transmission case 2. An axial extension of a first rotational member 81 extending axially on an outer circumference of the first clutch 31 couples a radial extension of the first rotational member 81 extending radially on the other axial ends of the first to third clutches 31 to 33 to the common rotational member 5, and holds a friction plate of the first clutch 31 near the first rotational member 81. A common member 8 provided in the common rotational member 5 holds a friction plate of the second clutch 32 near the first rotational member 81 and a friction plate of the third clutch 33 near the first rotational member 81. |
