PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an adhesive composition that can exhibit excellent adhesive strength at high temperature and high strain, and an adhesive coated fiber that is surface-treated with the adhesive composition.SOLUTION: An adhesive composition comprises spun fibers (A) having an average diameter of 4-900 nm and an average length of 80-10μm. The adhesive composition preferably further comprises at least one component selected from the group consisting of an aliphatic epoxide compound (B), a (blocked)isocyanate group-containing aromatic compound (C), a water-soluble polymer (D), and a thermoplastic high molecular weight polymer (E). The spun fibers (A) are preferably fibers spun by an electrospinning method or a mutually arranged polymer fiber method. In an adhesive coated fiber 1 in which the surface of a fiber 2 is coated with an adhesive layer 3, the adhesive composition or an adhesive liquid of the composition is used for the adhesive layer 3.
