PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce energy loss caused by leakage from a gap formed between a slide valve and a screw rotor.SOLUTION: A screw fluid machine includes a screw rotor, a casing having a bore for storing the screw rotor, and a slide valve 17 provided on an inner surface of the casing and reciprocated along an outer peripheral surface of the screw rotor. The screw fluid machine further includes pressing means for pressing the slide valve to the screw rotor side, and slide valve support parts 21a and 21b provided in a portion of a suction end surface 8 of the casing confronting a suction side end surface of the screw rotor and a portion of a discharge end surface 9 of the casing confronting a discharge side end surface of the screw rotor and supporting the slide valve in such a manner of not being brought into contact with the screw rotor. |
