The purpose of this invention is to implement a means for preventing either foreign matter contained in humidified air or water droplets that have degraded in potency from becoming mixed into humidification water in a large-capacity ultrasonic space-sterilizing humidifier that uses an aqueous solution of hypochlorous acid, making it such that the concentration of hypochlorous acid in the humidified air can be sufficiently maintained and a sufficient space-sterilization effect can be produced. In order to accomplish the aforementioned purpose, this invention is provided with a storage tank that stores an aqueous solution of hypochlorous acid, an ultrasound generator that is installed inside the storage tank and generates a hypochlorous-acid-containing mist, and a blowing means for blowing said hypochlorous-acid-containing mist into an air duct that extends upwards. A water-catching means for catching water droplets that have adhered to the inside wall of the air duct is provided near the bottom end of the air duct, and a discharge tube via which water is discharged to the outside is connected to the water-catching means, preventing water droplets that have adhered to the inside wall of the air duct from flowing into the storage tank. |
