PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lane change support apparatus configured to suggest effective lane change in order to arrive a destination within a target required time.SOLUTION: A lane change support apparatus 1 includes: a required-time estimation section 17b for estimating the time required for a vehicle 3 to arrive a destination when the vehicle 3 continues following a preceding vehicle running ahead on a lane where the vehicle 3 is traveling; a lane-change suggestion notification section 17c and an HMI 21 for giving a lane-change suggestion to a driver of the vehicle 3. The lane-change suggestion notification section 17c and the HMI 21 give a lane-change suggestion to the driver when the required time estimated by the required-time estimation section 17b is longer than a target required time acquired and set in a target required time setting section 17a in advance.
