PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electro-optic device and electronic equipment, in which a sealing material can be efficiently cured while preventing photo-degradation of an electro-optic layer.SOLUTION: In an electro-optic device 100, a transmittance at a wavelength of 350 nm is increased in a sealing region 10e than in an electro-optic layer layout region 10d in an element substrate 10 by using an ITO film and a silicon oxide film to constitute a pixel electrode 9a or an element substrate-side alignment film 16 in the element substrate 10. When a sealing material 107 is irradiated with UV light through the element substrate 10, the UV light is efficiently supplied to the sealing material 107. As irradiation of the electro-optic layer 50 with light in a UV or near-UV region can be suppressed, liquid crystal molecules used in the electro-optic layer 50 are less likely degraded by the UV light. In a counter substrate 20, a transmittance at a wavelength of 350 nm is also controlled to be higher in the sealing region 10e than in the electro-optic layer layout region 10d. |
