PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical fiber cable which has a number of optical fiber units, each comprising optical fiber core wires bundled together using bundling materials, and exhibits a good water resistant property without having to increase an outer diameter.SOLUTION: An optical fiber cable comprises a plurality of optical fiber units, each comprising a plurality of optical fiber core wires and bundling materials 12 wound around the outer periphery of a bundle of the plurality of optical fiber core wires, where the bundling materials 12 have water-absorbing particles 125 removably attached on surfaces thereof. |
