ATTACHMENT MARKUP AND MESSAGE TRANSMISSION

Disclosed herein is a technique for editing an attachment included in an email message. The attachment is displayed within a message body of the email message and can be edited directly within the message body. Specifically, the technique involves launching a markup application that generates an editable version of the attachment within the message body. The markup application allows a user to make edits to the editable version of the attachment without leaving the email message.

1. A method for editing an attachment included in an email message, comprising:
detecting an attachment in an email message; generating a request for one or more services associated with the attachment; receiving the one or more services associated with the attachment, wherein the one or more services includes a markup service; launching a markup application associated with the markup service within the email message, wherein the markup application allows one or more edits to be made to the attachment within the email message; and displaying a modified attachment within the email message, wherein the modified attachment comprises the one or more edits.
