Filtering.-In attaching a dust bag to a suction cleaner, the mouth 11 of the bag fits over a sleeve 9 of an adaptor with an external sleeve 13 Within a groove 10 in the sleeve 13 the ends of a spring band 15 protrude radially through a slot. These ends engage with cam surfaces on a cylinder attached to a lever 19, and on depressing the lever the spring is contracted on to the neck of the dust bag. An extending sleeve 8 is attached to the discharge mouth 5 by means of a bayonet joint 7 and kept airtight by a joint 21. |
