PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To disclose an electric reel capable of performing optimal motor control for fishing a rock fish.SOLUTION: A fishing reel with a motor for taking up a fishing line, includes: means that stops supply of an electric current when the electric current linearly rises to a rated current, with the fish hooked; means that has a switch being operated, with the current supply stopped, when the switch is operated, supplies the current to the motor again, and when a current value is lowered from the rated current, retains the current value: and means that, after the current value is retained for a preset time, further raises the current to the rated current and, when the current value reaches the rated current, stops the supply of the current. |
