Disclosed are a radio link transmission method and device, which relate to the field of communications, and solve the problem that when a receiving side RLC entity needs a sending side RLC entity to resend an RLC PDU segmentation, the overhead of the status report fed back to the sending side RLC entity is high. The detailed scheme is: sending, by a sending unit, a first RLC PDU to a receiving side RLC entity; receiving, by a receiving unit, a status report carrying an SN sent by the receiving side RLC; generating, by a data segment set generation unit, a second data segment set of an original data segment according to the received SN; acquiring, by an RLC PDU acquisition unit, a second RLC PDU according to the generated second data segment set; sending, also by the sending unit, the acquired second RLC PDU to the receiving side RLC entity, so that the receiving side RLC entity acquires the original data segment according to the first RLC PDU and the second RLC PDU. The present invention is used for radio link control transmission.
