The present invention relates to a radioactive waste storage container and a manufacturing method thereof. The radioactive waste storage container includes: a liner including at least one lower surface to form an internal space to store radioactive waste, and a side surface surrounding the lower surface; a lower shell which surrounds the lower surface of the liner as well as the side surface at a set height from the lower surface; and a side shell which surrounds the side surface of the liner and a part of the lower shell. The side shell includes a first shielding layer which surrounds the liner, and includes a synthetic resin, reinforced fibers, and a radiation shielding material to prevent the radiation emitted from the radioactive waste from being leaked to the outside. |
