PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow for recording of a still picture file, captured continuously, on a storage medium while suppressing generation of wasteful free clusters.SOLUTION: Every time when a still picture file is generated by an imaging section, data of maximum integer multiple of the recording unit of each still picture file is recorded, as an independent intermediate file, on a memory card. Fractional data located at the rear end of the still picture file and less than the size of a RU is stored in a buffer region. When the data of the size of a RU is stored in a buffer region, or preset conditions are satisfied while recording the intermediate file, the data of the size of a RU in the buffer region is recorded, as an independent fractional data file, in a memory card. A completed still picture file is generated by coupling the clusters, storing the corresponding fractional data in the fractional data file, to the intermediate files recorded on the memory card, respectively, when continuous capturing of still picture has ended. |
