摘要 A display device includes: a common voltage line formed on a display unit and at an outer side of the display unit; a first insulating layer formed on a thin film transistor on the display unit; a pixel electrode formed on the first insulating layer; a liquid crystal layer disposed in a microcavity formed on the pixel electrode; a common electrode spaced apart from the pixel electrode with the liquid crystal layer interposed therebetween; the common electrode contacting the common voltage line at the outer side of the display unit through a contact hole; a second insulating layer formed on the common electrode; a roof layer formed on the second insulating layer; an injection hole formed on the common electrode, second insulating layer, and roof layer; and an overcoat formed on the roof layer covering the injection hole and sealing the microcavity, wherein the roof layer covers the contact hole.

A display device comprising: a substrate; a common voltage line formed on a display unit and at an outer side of the display unit, wherein the display unit is formed on the substrate and includes a plurality of pixel areas; a thin film transistor formed on the display unit; a first insulating layer formed on the thin film transistor; a pixel electrode formed on the first insulating layer and connected to the thin film transistor; a liquid crystal layer disposed in a microcavity formed on the pixel electrode; a common electrode formed spaced apart from the pixel electrode, wherein the liquid crystal layer is interposed between the common electrode and the pixel electrode; a contact hole formed on the common voltage line; the common electrode contacting the common voltage line at the outer side of the display unit through the contact hole; a second insulating layer formed on the common electrode; a roof layer formed on the second insulating layer; an injection hole formed on the common electrode, the second insulating layer, and the roof layer, wherein the injection hole partially exposes the microcavity in which the liquid crystal layer is disposed; and an overcoat formed on the roof layer covering the injection hole and sealing the microcavity, wherein the roof layer is disposed covering the contact hole.
