According to the present invention, a decomposition method for decomposing an ester resin with an enzyme is provided. The decomposition method is characterized in that an oxygen-adsorption-inhibiting compound is allowed to co-exist together with an ester decomposition accelerator and the enzyme in an aqueous medium containing the ester resin. In the decomposition method according to the present invention, it becomes possible to reliably and steadily accelerate the decomposition of an enzymatically decomposable ester resin, which is a resin contained in a dispersion for drilling use or the like, e.g., a fracturing fluid, at a lower temperature.
