PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus usable by a user to enable a karaoke activity to be easily performed.SOLUTION: An apparatus 20 capable of playing karaoke includes: a housing 22 for the apparatus; a microphone array 24 that is incorporated in the housing 22 and concealed from a user by the housing 22; a controller 26 that is combined with the microphone array 24 for at least processing an audio signal inputted in the microphone array 24 by the user; a data storage device 30 that is combined with the controller 26 for storing prerecorded songs to be used for karaoke and storing songs sang by the user; an image pickup device 34 that is combined with the controller 26 for imaging the user while the user is singing, the picked-up image of the user being stored in the data storage device 30.
