PARTICULATE WATER ABSORBING AGENT, AND PRODUCTION METHOD THEREOF

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water absorbing agent which has anti-blocking properties when absorbing moisture, is excellent in impact-resistant stability, and is capable of reducing the return amount when used in a diaper.SOLUTION: The particulate water absorbing agent contains a water-absorbing resin as a main component and a polyvalent metal cation and satisfies the following requirements (1)-(4). The requirement (1) is that a weight ratio of the polyvalent metal cation to the water absorbing agent is 0.001-5 wt.%. The requirement (2) is that the non-pressure water absorption capacity (CRC) is 28 (g/g) or more and the water absorption capacity under pressure (AAP4.83kPa) is 10 (g/g) or more. The requirement (3) is that 77≤(the water absorption capacity under pressure (AAP4.83kPa))+1.8×(the non-pressure water absorption capacity (CRC))≤100. The requirement (4) is that the water content of the water absorbing agent is 5-20 wt.%.
